Elena - Udon Comics/Capcom

At the San Diego Comic Convention this guy was the machine of the Capcom/Udon comics show. Unfortunately he was the machine of the booth, drawing for 3-4 hours at a time... nonstop. He was doing an insane number of sketches. of the 600 produced I wouldn't be surprised if 300 was just him... (I wonder if I could get a tally from Erik Ko)

Anyways given his signing schedule (he was always there). I decided to hit him early in the day when his arm was his freshest. Originally wanted a Lilith, but he mentioned he wanted to do an Elena... sure why not. Personally I think he did an excellent job.

During the little drawing stint he talked about how he didn't consider digital art real artwork (due to your undo button). Also he mentioned how on the back covers of their summer special care had to be taken to not make mistakes (but on the bristol I use it didn't matter as much ... no clue why... maybe because the glossy cover doesn't erase well?), so it had a more real art feel than the digital stuff. Overall he was a cool guy that I expect great things from in the future.

Omar Dogan is the Penciller for Rival Schools (a brand new project for Udon Comics), and has worked as just about everything from pencilling, inking, to coloring for the Street Fighter line comic by Udon.
